On 4 July, Debmarine Namibia was awarded a prestigious Medal of Honour at the grand opening ceremony of the AUSC Region 5 Youth Games, held at Independence Stadium in Windhoek. The event marked the commencement of the Region’s 11th edition of the Games, celebrated under the energising theme “Own the Moment.”
The recognition was presented by H.E. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah
in acknowledgment of Debmarine Namibia’s outstanding and ongoing contribution
to sports development in Namibia. Accepting the accolade on behalf of the
company was CEO Willy Mertens, who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to
empowering youth through strategic support and inclusive development
initiatives.
Debmarine Namibia’s continued investment in sports signals more than
just corporate responsibility, it reflects a purposeful engagement with youth
empowerment.
