Applications are invited for the bursaries in the fields of:
1. ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN MARINE ENGINEERING
Application requirements:
• Must be a Namibian citizen;
• Grade 12 and National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering;
• A provisional acceptance letter from an accredited Tertiary Institution (the successful candidates must comply with the
entry requirements of the University offering the programme above);
• The accredited institution must offer the academic learning in line with STCW requirements for the Advanced Diploma
in Marine Engineering;
• SAQA qualification verification of highest qualification and Grade 12.
2. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN GEOPHYSICS
Application requirements:
• Must be a Namibian citizen.
• Provisional acceptance to the BSc Geophysics Honours programme for 2025.
• At least 60% passes in each of the following subjects:
- Geology I;
- Mathematics II and Physics II;
- Any two of the following: Geology III, Mathematics III, or Physics III
• The successful candidates must comply with the entry requirements of the University offering the programme.
Students in their 2nd year of undergraduate studies during 2024 may apply and would need to meet the applicable portions
(i.e. subjects to include Mathematics II and Physics II with an average of at least 60%) in the above requirements and prove
enrollment to the above third year subjects.
The bursaries include:
• Full payment of tuition fees
• Prescribed textbooks and stationery
• Hostel accommodation and meals
• Travel cost assistances
• Study permit fees
Preference will be given to designated persons as prescribed by the Namibian Affirmative Action Act.
