Debmarine Namibia has been recognised as the top taxpayer in the country. The company made a significant tax contribution of N$4.2 billion last year, resulting in the company being awarded five awards and receiving N$20,000 in cash to donate to a charity organisation of our choice.

Namibia Revenue Agency (NAMRA) CEO Sam Shivute announced the awards during the agency's second edition of Taxpayers/Trade appreciation day held on April 19th, 2023. Debmarine Namibia emerged as the overall contributor in domestic taxes, highest contributor to employee taxes, corporate tax, value added tax, and non-resident shareholder tax.

Debmarine Namibia CEO, Willy Mertens, received the accolades on behalf of the company. “Debmarine Namibia’s significant tax contribution showcases commitment to contributing to the development of Namibia's economy. This recognition will encourage other companies to prioritise their tax obligations and contribute to the growth and development of our country” said Mertens.
